WebSep 16, 2009 · Measure from the base of the flange to the bottom of the float. It should be 8-10mm, no more no less. I had much trouble with mine and had it apart about 10 times trying to fix it. What I ended up needingt to do, I stuck a q-tip soaked in gumout into the float valve hole cleaning around the edge to get a good seal. WebMay 27, 2008 · 173 Posts. #3 · May 26, 2008. Just did them on the kids Z250 about 2 months ago.. Pull the tank off so you have good access. Engine - TDC compression.. Like Normal says, if you can't get a gauge in, they are too tight. Loosen the adjuster until you can get a gauge in the tighten to a sung fit.
