WebA scintillation method has been developed for measurement of gaseous beta emitting isotopes. Phosphor-lined liquid scintillation vials, fitted with a septum, are filled with the gas and counting is performed on a liquid scintillation spectrometer. WebFor the data acquisition a Packard TriCarb Model 1900CA and a Quantulus 1220 liquid scintillation counter is used. All samples were prepared in either 20 mL low potassium, borosilicate glass vials or 20 mL high density, polyethylene vials.
